On the 23rd September 2013, I released 'Variant', which was both my debut album as Sunset Graves, and the first full length record on 3rd & Debut.
Over the next 4 years, there have been 5 LP's, as well as numerous singles and EP's. To celebrate, I have put together a compilation of music from across this time period - starting with the very first Sunset Graves single, 'Concrete Dead Space', up to 'Dead City Hymn' from this year's album.

In addition to music representing each record, there are also two previously unreleased tracks that have never been available anywhere else before. Both of these are weird scratchy, pure hardware jams that I pressed record on.

It was fun compiling this music as I'm not usually one for looking back. The album is free to download and serves as a perfect introduction to the noises I make. 'Shadows Cast' doesn't represent the end of anything, its just a truck stop along the road.

‘Acolytes’ is by far my favourite track on this release. It reminds me of an experimental Four Tet mixed with some Jon Hopkins. There is use of modern circuits, acid lines and tape echo with swooning crescendos and diminuendos across the board. I haven’t previously heard anything from Thomas Ragsdale before but from now on I will be keeping my ear to the ground for any future releases. I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Under Dwellers.
